Electroplating mold is an important branch in the field of mold manufacturing, which combines mold design with electroplating technology, aiming to give specific properties or appearance to the surface of the mold through electroplating technology. So today we will analyze his design specifications for everyone.

Design specifications for electroplating mold
Product requirements:
The adhesive position of the product should be uniform, and sharp corners should be avoided as much as possible. Instead, a rounded corner design of R0.1~0.2 should be used, otherwise high potential will be formed, causing the coating to thicken and stress concentration. Pinching, air patterns, hole positions, and product surface textures can all have an impact on electroplating.
Mold requirements:
1. Choose S136 as the internal mold material.
2. Under the conditions of production, the fewer the number of mold holes, the better; Try to avoid collaborating on a set of molds for products with significantly different external dimensions.
3. Mold design should include hanging and clamping positions.
4. The flow channels around the product should be designed thicker to enhance overall strength and prevent deformation.
When ranking electroplating products, they should be arranged more densely to reduce the electroplating area and lower the electroplating cost.

Molding requirements:
1. The mold should be water-cooled as much as possible, not oil cooled;
2. Try to control the mold temperature at around 85 ℃, and the smaller the mold temperature difference, the better;
3. The electroplating grade ABS molding material cannot contain water-based additives;
4. It is best to install electric heating tubes.
The above are the design specifications for electroplating mold.
